Who We Are

Seton Youth Shelters provides 24-hour emergency shelter for children ages 9-17 (and up to age 18 with an individualized education plan (IEP)).  This program serves runaway and homeless youth and youth in crisis within their family, school or community.  We accommodate both boys and girls through our two gender-specific separate shelters in Central Virginia Beach.  In our shelters, residents are provided youth advocacy and individual/family crisis counseling.  Our case managers facilitate coordination of services, community referrals and aftercare follow up.  Youth who enter the shelter program attend local public schools, unless parents provide transportation to their home school.

Seton Youth Shelters' residential program also provides crisis counseling and referral services for youth and families without admission to the shelter program.  We offer the following group programs:  Actively Parenting of Teens and Anger Management Program for Teens.

What We Do

Seton Youth Shelters shall provide a safe haven, counseling and outreach services, 24 hours per day, without charge, to assist youth in crisis throughout Hampton Roads with the goal of reuniting families.
