LGBT Life Center is a trusted leader that empowers the LGBTQ communities and all people affected by HIV through improving health and wellness, strengthening families and communities, and providing transformative education and advocacy.

We are incredibly proud of our over three decades of history in Hampton Roads, making us the most well-established AIDS service organization in the region. Over the years, we’ve undergone five name changes, multiple mission expansions, significant staff growth, and a complete rebrand in 2017, and our journey is far from over. In 2024, LGBT Life Center is set to open two primary care clinics with on-site pharmacies, a food pantry, and community spaces on both sides of the water—a groundbreaking achievement in LGBTQ+ Hampton Roads history!LGBT Life Center remains a cornerstone of support, empowerment, and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities in Hampton Roads. From our humble beginnings with Sister Mary Joan and a small group of volunteers to our current team of over 60 full-time employees and 500+ active volunteers, we are dedicated to improving health and wellness, strengthening families and communities, and providing transformative education and advocacy. Our mission is to continuously strengthen and uplift the LGBTQ+ and HIV communities.
