Ability Center of Virginia

Our Board of Directors is composed of consumers, parents and business leaders. The Board and staff are a dynamic network of individuals committed to the following purposes:

-Assure the rights and entitlements of children and adults with disabilities

-Provide broad based programs and services to children and adults with a disability to attain the fullest possible independence, employment, and inclusion in community activities

- Provide educational material to consumers, parents and the community to increase and create awareness and understanding of cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities

-Develop the financial and volunteer resources to accomplish the goals and objectives of the agency

Ability Center of Virginia’s Mission Statement is as follows: To affect positively the quality of life for persons with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities such as those with Down syndrome, autism, intellectual disabilities, muscular dystrophy and those with hearing, speech and visual impairments and their families creating greater independence and opportunities for inclusion in the community.
